"Police were called to the upmarket LA suburb of Hancock Park just after midnight last Sunday, after an argument between Brown and a woman, who police have declined to name as Rihanna for confidentiality reasons, allegedly escalated into violence. "-Times online
This argument was supposedly started when Chris recieved a text from a woman and Rihanna confronted him. This escalated and resulted in the reported assult on Rihanna.
"Police and prosecutors have not officially disclosed that Rihanna was the victim of Brown's attack just after midnight on February 8. But unidentified police sources told the Los Angeles Times that Rihanna was the victim, and numerous media outlets have reported the same information. " -Q102 newsfeed
"Police said the woman, widely reported to be Rihanna, “suffered visible injuries” but Brown had left the scene.
Due to perform at the Grammy Awards, he missed the prestigious event to turn himself in to police. He was charged with making a criminal threat and released on $50,000 (£34000 ) bail. Further domestic violence charges are pending. "-times online
That was a week ago and now, during which, Got Milk? has dropped Chris from thier campaign,Wrigley's gum has cut him from being thier spokes person and Rihanna fans around the country have been frothing at the mouth, ready to tear him to shreds. Nice going Chris.
He issued a official apology to the media-"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired," he said. "I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person."
It just goes to show that abusive relationships CAN happen, and if you or anyone you know is in one, get out and get help. Even if its just once, it is never okay. No one deserves that kind of treatment.
All I can say is, I sincerely hope he has learned his lesson and Rihanna will be back to show him that he can't bring her down. She's a strong woman and a great rolemodel, we <3 you Rihanna!
xoxo
