Musical conections

Have you ever been innnocently going about your daily life, heard a song on the radio or on your iPod and had this lightbulb moment where you realise that that song perfectly reflected your mood or curent going ons in your life?

Okay maybe I'm crazy, but that happens to me,often actually. I had this thing going on during winter swimming where I had this major crush on a guy and it seemed like certain songs I had hearing on the local radio station were majorly connecting to my feelings...eerie eh?

it went like this->
1.Gotta be somebody-Nickleback
I had just gotton over my latest crush and had been wondering if I'd ever find the right guy for me, I don't have the greatest history in relationships....
2.Break the Ice-BS
Lets call him Ryan. Ryan SEEMED to be great guy, funny, outgoing, athletic and really sweet to his younger sister, plus he speaks polish, how freaking amazing is that! So i started talking to him a little and flirting...
3.Love Lockdown-Kanye West
Ha!No I was not in love, but I was crazy for him though and really wanted him to ask me out, too bad we only had 31/2 weeks left in the swim season and he went to a different school=[
4.Untounched-The Veronica's
pretty much the same thing and it went on for another two weeks before..
5.Then I woke up-The Clique Girls
I found out he was a totaljerk, an arrogant ***hole to say the least and a player grrr.
6.What Hurts the Most-Cascada
If you listen to this song, the lyrics say:
What hurts the most, was being so close,
And having so much to say, And watchin' you walk away...
Never knowing, what could have been....

It's hard to force that smile, when I see our old friends and I'm alone, still harder... gettin up, gettin dressed, livin with this regret, But I know if I could do it over, I would trade, give away all the words, that I saved in my heart, that I left unspoken...

Which is pretty much how I feel now, I'm glad I didn't ask him out or anything because he just wasn't worth it =] Beside there are other fish in the sea so no worries, he's dead 2 me ^^
so now with that optimistic and positive attiude I'm going to end this post by saying comment away, share your own experiences with music love and life or what you thought of this little random venting, I want to hear about it!
xoxo

  1. Trisha Yearwood had a song about this, called "The Song Remembers When"

    It rules!
